Stinger Fencer designs
are designed and built on the premise that a fence energizer needs to
work (keep the cows in) "in real world conditions".
 A fence energizer stores and then releases energy. The energy is delivered to
the energizer through AC line, DC battery, or Solar regulated battery. It then sends the
energy to the transformer and out to the fence. This is where the energy is transformed
from a low voltage to a high voltage. How effective your fencer operates depends upon how
efficient your transformer works.
"For an energizer to
operate effectively on heavily vegetated fences, it must be able to
maintain a high guard voltage in spite of heavy current losses
through the vegetation.
A high guard voltage
is required to jump from the wire through the hair and fur of the
animal onto their skin and into their muscle tissue. But the loss of
current through the vegetation increases dramatically as the guard
voltage is increased. So a key aspect of a functional fence
operating with vegetation load is to regulate the guard voltage."
