What
jobs are available?
For a list of current positions available within the
Wetaskiwin Co-op Association Ltd. view our
Employment
Opportunities page.
Where are the jobs located?
All employment is based out of our Wetaskiwin,
Alberta location. However, some positions, such as in outside
sales or delivery drivers require travel away from Wetaskiwin, but
the duration of travel never exceeds one work day.
How does the job-selection
process work?
Your application is analyzed to determine the level
of your knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of
the position you apply for. We do not provide general, preliminary
interviews before the initial selection of candidates.
Individuals short-listed for a position are contacted. Your application will remain active for six months.
Will I be considered for
unadvertised jobs? The Human
Resources Department keeps your application and/or resume on file
for six months in
the event of another job vacancy that you may qualify for.
If I provide a copy of my
resume, do I need to fill out an
application?
Yes. We consider a resume as supplemental to our
application, since the application contains important information
not normally included in resumes.
Do I need
an e-mail address to use the online application?
No. While an email address may be helpful in
communicating, it is mandatory that you provide an address and phone
number so that we can contact you.
If I am using the online
application and run out of time to complete all of the screens, can
I log off and return later to fill out the
rest of the application?
You must be online to access the application, but it
is not necessary to remain on our website to complete the
application. In fact, we recommend that you save
the form to your
hard drive to be filled in at your convenience. When you have
completed the application form you will be prompted to send it via
an Internet connection. You also have the choice of printing
the form and sending it by mail or fax.
Before you can access the applications form you will be asked to certify your consent to the application process.
How do I attach
my resume, transcripts or other related documents to the on-line
employment application?
First make sure your attachments are saved in an
appropriate format - specifically Microsoft Word, Rich Text, or
Acrobat PDF files. On the bottom of the last page of the application form you will
be advised to check your application for errors. Then you will be ready to submit
your application. When you click "Submit Application" the form
will automatically open an email window. This email is
preaddressed with the COMPLETED APPLICATION FORM ATTACHED. From this window you will be able to attach your
resume or other supporting documents. Most email programs
contain an "Insert" or "Attachment" option. By choosing this
option you will be
prompted to "Browse" so you can select the file or files to be
attached from your computer. You can attach more than one
file, but you may have to do it in more than one action.
What type of documents or programs can I attach?
Your resume or supporting documentation must be saved
in Microsoft Word, Rich Text, Text Acrobat PDF files.
Will the information I place in the online employment
application be secure?
Yes. Your data is transferred and stored in a secure
environment.
What happens to my online application after I submit
it?
After you submit your online application the system
automatically sends the information to our Human Resources
Department. If you have entered your e-mail address in the online
application system, you will receive an e-mail confirming the
receipt of your application. If you do not provide an e-mail
address, you can call the Human Resources office to make sure your
application has been received.
Your application will remain active for six months.
What should I do if I fill out the online
application, but do not have the ability to attach my transcripts,
resume or other related documents?
If you do not have the ability to
scan and attach your employment-related documents, we recommend you
mail those documents to the Human Resources office. Make sure
your name appears on each document and that you provide a cover
sheet explaining that your application was sent separately and
by email.

If you prefer to print the application and mail or fax it in make
sure your submission is sent to:
