EXTERIOR COLORS

housepaint.jpg (42582 bytes)Create instant appeal by choosing the right colors.  One of the more important rules of thumb - a home is part of the overall streetscape and your neighborhood should be considered.

Choose colors that complement your home's architectural details.  Driveways, paving materials, and even roofs are all important factors in your decision making.  Color will intensify with volume, so soft muted colors are ideal for the body of your home.  Indulge your Passion for color by painting a dramatic inviting color on your front door.  Use this as an accent to the overall color scheme.

Putting a white trim on a house whose exterior is a neutral or a rich color will provide a crisp fresh look.  Use the darkest color to pick out architectural elements.  Remember, applying dark colors to the upper half of a large structure will visually diminish its height.

For an exterior palette, see our paint department for the Fresh Air brochure, a collection of combined exterior colors that can be mixed or matched to your satisfaction.
