 Allan Halter, General Manager
Allan has spent several years in the
Co-op Retailing System throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta. He has
served in a variety of positions at both the wholesale and retail
levels.
Allan's focus has always been on the
customers. He says, "I am very sincere about our commitment to
service and keeping our customers coming back. Wetaskiwin
Co-op will continue to look for ways to improve the organization to
better serve your needs." Allan welcomes input from members and
customers.
Allan is married to Brenda and they
have three boys.

 Ron Yaroslawsky,
Agro Manager
With over 15 yrs of
retail experience Ron works hard to make sure he and his staff
provide you with the products and expertise you need. Among his many
responsibilities customer service is one of his main priorities -
he respects Co-op customers and values
his co-workers.
Ron
and his wife Kyla have one daughter Corbin who keeps them
involved in her competitive dance activities. In
his free time Ron's hobbies include hunting and golf, and he especially
enjoys spending time with
his family.

At the
core of Wetaskiwin Co-op Association’s retail and administrative success is
the financial department managed by Donna Oleksin who started her administrative career within the Co-op Retailing System in 1980
and has been in Wetaskiwin since 1997.

 Clarence Mikalson, Project
Sales
Clarence was raised on the
farm in southern Alberta. In 1994 after 28 years in the Alberta lumber
industry he came to Wetaskiwin Co-op to become our Lumber and Building Supplies
Manager and was quickly promoted to manage the Home Decorating and Home & Garden
Stores. He earned another promotion when all of the Wetaskiwin Co-operative store
locations were consolidated at the Country Junction.
If you are a building
contractor he is the man to consult. Give him a call and he'll come out to your site to
look at your plans and discuss your needs.
Clarence believes customer service of paramount importance
and like's working directly with customers. "How else can we know what our
members need?"
Clarence is married to Judy and has two daughters. He enjoys
golfing, fishing and curling and also volunteers for the C.O.P. program in Wetaskiwin.

Ron
Hockridge, P. Ag. Agronomy Specialist
Ron spent most of his
career bringing information on new technology to farmers and helping
them find solutions to their unique challenges. He spent six years
with Agriculture Canada and 30 years with Alberta Agriculture,
focusing mainly on crop production and economics.
Ron joined Wetaskiwin
Co-op in March 2010 with the aim of providing agronomic services to
complement the crop input products that the co-op now provides.

 Steve King -
Hardware Manager
Steve began his career with Co-op in
Saskatchewan in 1988. In 2001 Steve joined the Country Junction in
Wetaskiwin and says that he is happy to be here.
As Hardware Manager
Steve's responsibilities take him all over the store. Add in
the demands for his specialized knowledge of power tools and of wood
and pellet burning stoves and one is likely to find Steve on the
floor helping customers instead of in his busy office.
Outside of work Steve's two sons and
one daughter and their combined multiple family activities keep him
busy.

 Myrtle Hutchinson - Hardware
Supervisor
Myrtle's retail experience spans more
than 17 years and since joining the Country Junction she has served in several positions. She is energized by the challenges of her
position and feels that customer service is an especially
important aspect of her work. Raised in the rural
area of Sundre in Alberta Myrtle enjoys meeting the people of the Wetaskiwin
area that she serves.
She emphasizes that
the Co-op is more than a supplier of tools and hardware for the agro
industry, and carries a wide selection of supplies and equipment that
caters to the construction industry, trade professionals, and the
home handyman - everything you need to get the job done efficiently.
Besides her work at
the Co-op and gardening Myrtle especially enjoys vacations in the BC
Interior with with her husband Kim and their two daughters.

 Craig Shulver, Lumber Manager
Craig
came from England to Wetaskiwin and started his career with the Co-op over
15 years ago.
He is one of our estimators, so you can see Craig for estimates when building a home, garage
or any new buildings or renovations that are needed - siding, windows, doors, roofing,
etc. You will often see Craig on the floor showing customers samples and options of
materials.
Craig is married to Tanya who you might have bumped into at our
local emergency hospital. They have two children. Of his hobbies Craig enjoys
woodworking most. Craig loves soccer and coaches one of the
local teams in town.

 Phoebe, Dry Goods Supervisor
Phoebe grew up on a farm
just outside of Olds, Alberta. She attended Olds College where she studied fashion
merchandizing. Phoebe moved to Edmonton where she worked in several retail
capacities. We are happy to have her expertise in our Dry Goods department.
Phoebe says,
"Whether you need work wear or fashion clothing see us for all your essential
clothing. You'll be pleasantly surprised with the selection, quality and price of
what Co-op has to offer you."

Roger has been with the Co-op since 1998. He
has been in Falun for several years and has made the area his home. Roger
thrives on challenges and on being busy and the Falun Co-op provides both of

Jolena
Tamminen - Home Decorating Supervisor
Jolena is one of our flooring and paint experts.
She has specialized
knowledge of various types of floor coverings - their durability,
maintenance, technical aspects.
Jolena is happy to set up an appointment to provide flooring
estimates to help you complete your project and assist you in
choosing the best type of flooring to meet your needs.
When it comes to
paint Jolena has experience mixing pigment, custom
tinting and colour matching (she comes from a family of
painters). Her expertise translates well into helping you
choose the right paint for your room! Just bring in a digital
photo of your room on a flash drive or memory card and using Co-op's
Personal Designer Program Jolena can show you various paint colours
on a virtual wall before you make your decision.

Manager
John, a long time resident of
Wetaskiwin, has been with the Co-op Petroleum Division for over ten years. To stay current with an ever changing petroleum industry John says he is in
"ongoing training".

 Darrell
Kimmel, Feed Department Manager
Darrell has spent twenty-seven years in the
feed business - mainly managing multiple feed
and premix manufacturing facilities throughout
North America. As well Darrell has served
in various leadership roles including
Director/Chairman with ANAC (Animal Nutrition
Association Canada) for Alberta and
at the national level.
To insure that our customers get the best
products and service that Co-op has to offer
Darrell works directly with all Co-op managers on a daily basis.
“I enjoy building teams and supporting
all of our staff to develop on a professional business level. I am very
happy to be part of the Co-op and truly look forward to the
opportunities that the future is going to present for the Co-op

Darrell was born and raised on a large farm
and ranch in Didsbury, Alberta.

 Bernie Grumpelt, M.Sc.
Nutritionist & Feed Department Sales Representative
Raised on a dairy and grain farm in Manitoba,
Bernie has been with the Co-op organization for over fifteen years,
over seven with Wetaskiwin Co-op.
He received his MSc. Degree from the University of Manitoba in Dairy Nutrition.
He says, " Nutrition has been my focus for the past
twenty-two years. Learning more about nutrition and applying that to benefit our customers
in the farming community is my main goal. A great organization
like the Wetaskiwin Country Junction Co-op makes this goal easier to accomplish."

 Nancy Fischer, M.Sc
Nutritionist
Nancy Fischer has an MSc in Animal Nutrition from the University
of Guelph and a PhD in Poultry Nutrition from
the University of Saskatchewan. Her
research was supervised by Dr. Hank Classen and focused on enzyme
effects on gut bacteria in wheat fed poultry.
She has over 20 years of experience working in the Canadian Feed Industry for BASF Premix, ANAC, and, for the
past 10 years with Unifeed/Viterra Feed
Products as a mill nutritionist with an
emphasis on swine and poultry, as well as some specialty animals. She is looking forward to her new role at Wetaskiwin Co-op.
